Yakunara Mug Cup Mo anime to premiere in April 2021
The official website for the Yakunara Mug Cup Mo anime revealed last Thursday that the series will premiere on Japanese television next April 2021, although the exact day is not yet known. In addition to this, the portal also presented a promotional trailer in which the protagonists of this adaptation of the promotional manga of the city of Tajimi can be seen in motion for the first time.
Nippon Animation animates this Yakunara Mag Cup series, which is set in a high school club dedicated to the art of pottery. Jun Kamiya (Blue Seed, The Third: Aoi Hitomi no Shōjo, Kingdom) is directing the series, while Naruhisa Arakawa (Active Raid, Twin Star Exorcists, Kono Bijutsu-bu niwa Mondai ga Aru!) Is writing the script. For her part, Ayano Yoshioka is credited as responsible for character design and animation direction. The city of Tajimi itself and the tourism council of the Japanese town participate in this animated television project.
Regarding the voice casting for the Yakunara Mag Cup anime, this has also been announced. This features Minami Tanaka (Lily Hoshikawa in Zombie Land Saga) as Himeno Toyokawa, Yu Serizawa (Mirei Minami in PriPara, Ueno in How clumsy you are, Ueno) as Mika Kukuri, Yuuki Wakai (Reona West in PriPara) as Naoko Naruse and Rina Honizumi (Saaya Yakushiji / Cure Ange in Hugtto! PreCure) as Toko Aoki.

The Yakunara Mug Cup Mo manga was launched in 2011 as part of a volunteer and collaborative project of city businesses to revitalize the region. This is updated 4 times a year, accumulating 33 chapters to date. In addition to this main work, the project also features a yon-koma spin-off manga (4-panel manga) titled Naoko no Kobachi.
Tajimi City, located in the southern part of Gifu Prefecture, Japan, is famous for Mino ware. The city is dotted with historic ceramic producers and ceramic art museums. It has facilities where you can test your pottery-making skills, as well as many restaurants serving food on Minoware dishes.
