TOC from Weekly Shônen Jump # 49 2020

 

This Monday, this year's number 49 of Weekly Shônen Jump magazine officially goes on sale in Japan. The Shueisha weekly features Black Clover on the cover, but curiously this week's main color pages go to the Chainsaw man series. The reason is that the Tatsuki Fujimoto series enters its final stage.

The popularity ranking brings very interesting movements this week. My Hero Academia takes number one and is followed by Dr. Stone in second place. MASHLE, which is strong in the latest rankings, closes this top 3. It should also be noted the good results that The Yozakura family has been obtaining lately and it seems that this is not the result of chance. Many point out that the positive change that Hitsuji Gondaira's work has had is the result of its new editor, who performed the same functions for Haruichi Furudate, author of Haikyû !!.

On the other hand, this week we finish with the participants of the Golden Future Cup. The fifth and last one-shot to be published corresponds to Nao Momose with his work entitled Popo. Also, this week the Ayakashi Triangle chapter is longer than usual, containing 23 pages

Next week sees the return to the magazine of Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, author of Toriko. His new series, titled Build King, will be on the cover of the magazine and its first chapter will have a color introduction and 60 pages. It is a manga based on a one-shot that he published in the magazine in spring 2018, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Shônen Jump. Also, One Piece will return after its last break.
